UK Trips
Whether you’re an experienced skier/boarder or a beginner who wants to get to grips with a new sport, we want you to get involved in our UK trips to Chill Factore in Manchester and Sheffield Ski Village. To book a place, get yourself down to the weekly socials every Tuesday Night from 8pm at Revolution in Fallowfield, to sign up and pay for a trip.
These popular trips operate on a first come first served basis so book early to avoid disappointment. Make sure you check your SKUM calendar, the SKUM website and the SKUM facebook group regularly to keep up to date on all the latest info regarding these trips.
Ski and snowboard lessons are available on both trips so don’t let your ability hold you back! For details and/or any queries please email barnett@skum.info and I’ll make sure I get back to you asap.
CHILL FACTORE
Chill Factore is Manchester’s very own indoor snowdome, giving our members the chance to ski on real snow during term time for a special discounted price!
These trips run in conjunction with the freestyle sessions and so half the slope contains park-style rails and kickers whilst the other half is left for chilled-out social skiing.
The bus leaves the Armitage Sports Centre at about 3.30pm so we can hit the slopes between 4.30pm and 6.00pm and return to the Armitage before heading to the bars in Fallowfield. The estimated cost of these trips is £14.
SKI VILLAGE, SHEFFIELD:
Sheffield Ski Village provides the perfect setting for a few hours of dryslope skiing/boarding/airbag play to be followed by hours of drunken après-ski antics at the on-site Bar – a great way to meet your fellow skummers!
With one trip at Halloween and one in the run up to Christmas, expect weird and wonderful fancy-dress to be teamed with festive drinking games and general outrageousness! For these trips we leave Manchester early Sunday afternoon and get back at about 11pm before staggering straight into Fallowfield to continue the madness!
These trips are estimated to cost about £15 per person and are guaranteed to be worth every penny!
