UK Trips

To all our new members welcome to SKUM UK Trips and to all our rejoining old members welcome back!

To sign up to any of these trips you need to come along to our Weekly Socials in Fallowfield from 8:00pm on Tuesdays. Be warned however that these trips will sell out fast (some even on the first tuesday!). You will have to give us your money on the Tuesday you book in order to guarantee your place. The first however many people give us the money for the trips get the places and we cannot reserve for fairness sake (so don’t e-mail asking!).


Beginner's Lessons

We have 10 places for beginner skiers, and 10 places for beginner boarders to have a set of lessons. Each beginner will get three sets of 1 hour 50 minutes in the group of ten on the 21st October, 4th November and 18th November (ready for the Christmas trip to Val D’isere!), giving each beginner a total of 5 hours and 30 minutes of tuition in total.

These lessons will be at the same time as the recreational skiers and boarders between 5pm and 7pm.
The cost for each person will be £80 for the 10 lessons.

What is Included:

  • Your lift pass includes hire of skis or snowboard as well as boots.
  • Gloves can be hired for £3 (pay on the day).
  • Items of clothes such as jackets and trousers can be hired for £5 an item (pay on the day).




Recreational and Freestyle Skiing and Boarding:

We will be running six recreational trips. There will also be an array of freestyle features to try out.

  1. On the 7th October is a special Taster session when you can get 1 hour 30 minutes on the slope for £10 between 5:30pm and 7:00pm.
    There are 40 places available.
  2. On the 21st October, 4th November, 18th November 1 hour 30 minutes on the slope will cost £15. Again this will be between 5:30pm and 7:00pm.
    Due to lessons there are only 20 places available.
  3. On the 2nd December and 16th December 1 hour and 30 minutes will again cost £15. This will be between 5:30pm and 7:00pm and we are back up to 40 available places.

Transport:

SKUM will cover transport on all these trips using your sign up fees. A coach will leave the Armitage Sports Centre (near Richmond Park Halls in Fallowfield) at about 3:00 and will return to the same place once we are finished. We will then head into Fallowfield for an après ski drink!

What You Should Do:

Get involved! Myself (Pat) as well as last years freestyle regulars will most definitely be trying to go upside down off the kickers. Why not man up and get involved!
